How can I send in my photo?
Ordering a canvas photo is very simple. From the Home page, click on the “Browse” button. A dialogue menu will appear where you can simply select your image and transfer it to us. Now you can specify the size and the options for the product you wish to order.

What are the format requirements for my image file?
File Format
Your file can have the following data formats: JPEG, JPG, TIFF, TIF, BMP, GIF. These data formats are automatically recognised and accepted by our servers.

Resolution
The minimal resolution is 72 dpi. Generally, we recommend a resolution of 120dpi for your canvas photo. The larger your desired canvas size, the higher the resolution of your original should be. For the minimum resolution for each size, see the "Prices" page.

Please note that since file sizes of 5 MB and above involve unnecessarily long loading times, uploading overly large original images is discouraged. The maximum file size that our server can accept is 40 MB.

Colour Mode
To achieve a perfect printing result, ideally, your file should be created in RGB colour mode. Our printing software expects the RGB mode as the original format. So, for example, files created in CMYK mode can produce a matt effect in printing. To avoid colour variations and lack of brilliance of the colours, always use the RGB mode for your print files. Photos with S-RGB or Adobe RGB profiles are also acceptable.

Why are only certain sizes displayed after I upload my original?
After you upload your photo to our server, our system checks which sizes suit your photo. The determining factor here is the resolution of your photo and the transmitted aspect ratio. We conduct this test in order to guarantee a high quality result. To select a larger size, you must upload a file with a larger resolution.

Why do I get an “Invalid file format” message when uploading?
Your file for uploading should be in one of the following file formats: JPEG, JPG, TIFF, TIF, BMP, GIF. Please check the file type of your photo and if necessary convert it to the correct file format using an image editing program.

Why does uploading my photo take so long?
The duration of the upload depends essentially on two factors. Both the file size and your internet connection affect the duration of the upload process considerably. Files larger than 5 MB unnecessarily delay loading times. If your files are larger, you can convert them using a standard image editing programs.

What kind of materials do we use for your canvas photo?
Colours
The colours we use are special, highly pigmented multi-colour pigments utilised in an ultra-modern 8-color system. Characterised not only by their brilliance but also by the manufacturer's guaranteed 75-year fade resistance.

Canvas
We only use high quality canvas, which is custom-produced by our partners to meet all our requirements. We take particular care to ensure outstanding product characteristics and a fine canvas structure, to guarantee you a first-class product.

Frame
The frame is made of solid wood of Scandinavian manufacture. We attach great importance to certified quality and always use only environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable materials in the production process.

How is my canvas produced?
When the "Data check" option has been selected, after receiving your file, production begins with quality control of your original (format, resolution, obvious defects, etc.) to be able to ensure from the outset an ideal end product. Your original is then applied on special canvas in a complex HP 8-Ink thermal printing process. Tailored to the optimal size, the canvas is then carefully hand stretched on an already finished wooden frame. This is assembled by hand according to specific quality standards. The attachment of the canvas to the rear side of the frame is done using a special tacking and folding process. The motif is stretched over the edges, so you can hang your picture without a frame.

During the entire manufacturing process, we attach great importance to environmental and resource-friendly processing. Your finished canvas print will then be run through a final thorough quality control procedure. If successfully passed, it will be securely packed for shipping to you. Once it arrives, all you have to do is unpack, select a nice spot in your home, and hang.

What needs to be considered when selecting the edge?
Please note that about 3 cm is required for stretching the canvas around the frame. Here you have one of the following two options:

Edge printing with motif
By default, about 3 cm of each side of the motif is required for folding over the frame. Therefore, please ensure that important parts of your motif do not lie within this area as they might otherwise be truncated. This may be the case especially for smaller sizes. During the checkout process, you can again do an individual check for this on your motif.

Edge printing one colour
If your photo is not suitable for folding over, we offer the alternative possibility of printing the edge with a single colour, either black or white. This has the advantage that the design remains completely intact on the front.
